2012 CU Football Yo!

Well, it looks like this year I’m finally going to bite the bullet and buy season tickets for my CU Buffs. The schedule was released yesterday and it looks pretty good:

Sept. 1 — vs. Colorado State
Sept. 8 — SACRAMENTO STATE
Sept. 15 — at Fresno State
Sept. 22 — at Washington State
Sept. 29 — UCLA
Oct. 11 — ARIZONA STATE (Thu.)
Oct. 20 — at Southern Cal
Oct. 27 — at Oregon
Nov. 3 — STANFORD
Nov. 10 — at Arizona
Nov. 17 — WASHINGTON
Nov. 23 — UTAH (Fri.)

(Home games in all caps)

By my count, there’s at least 6 wins on this schedule, with the potential for 8 or 9 (I’m working under the assumption that USC, Oregon and Stanford are pretty much locks for the loss column).

Yeah, I know my team went 3-10 last year and we’re losing our starting QB and RB, but there’s some pretty solid talent on this team and all the injuries last year let our freshmen get a ton of playing experience.  Paul Richardson’s a monster and Connor Wood should be interesting at QB (assuming he beats out Hirschman for the job).  I guess we’ll find out in about 8 months…
